Giving Tuesday
In 2021
Giving Tuesday
Held annually on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, FLC members gather to work on a variety of projects and service activities. In December 2020, volunteers prepared 397 Christmas cards for our member shut-ins, members of 70 years old, and area veterans. More than $4000 was also raised for the Street Assessment fund. This year, Giving Tuesday falls on November 30th. Stay tuned for participation details!
Financial Peace University
Planning for the future is hard when you are still paying for the past! There is a better way. Learn how to beat debt and make a plan for your future. Watch for details on the next FPU (Financial Peace University) sessions or contact Pastor Adelsen for more information.
Thanksgiving Blessing Bags
Thanksgiving Blessing Bags
Each November, donations of items to prepare a Thanksgiving Dinner are collected for the McLeod Emergency Food Shelf. These donations are gathered into “Blessing Bags” that feature a complete meal for a family. In 2020, we donated 85 bags!
Quilt, Craft & Bake Sale
Quilt, Craft & Bake Sale
Despite the challenges of Covid-19, these sales continued with social distancing practices. Many talented quilters and crafters donated 100’s of items that were sold “virtually” via Facebook and a “curbside” Cookie sale was also held at a member residence. Monies raised went to the Roof Repair fund and the upcoming NYG trip.
