Our Beliefs

At First Lutheran Church, we believe that only way to have an authentic relationship with God is through Jesus Christ.

OUR CORE BELIEFS

The Bible is all God’s true Word, our final authority for faith and life.
The Triune of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the only true God, who is the personal creator, redeemer and preserver of all things.
Jesus Christ, by His holy birth, life, death, and resurrection, provides forgiveness and eternal salvation for all people.
All people are born sinners and are saved by Jesus Christ alone, by God’s grace alone, and through faith alone.
The Holy Spirit causes and strengthens faith through God’s Word, using Holy Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
The Christian Church is all those who have saving faith in Jesus and who believe the truths taught in His Word.
The Ten Commandments are God’s expectations for our lives today.
In Holy Communion, with the bread and wine, Jesus gives his true body and blood, for the forgiveness of sins.
