In the past few years First Lutheran School:
Had eight high school valedictorians or salutatorians
Finished in the top three of the Lutheran Spelling Contest eight times
Qualified in the Minnesota State Geographic Bee
Won the GSL District Spelling Contest five times
Won championship in the Lutheran State Basketball Tournament
Participated in the Lutheran National Tournament in Valparaiso, IN
Tied for 14th place in the 7th Grade Minnesota Math League Contest
Participated in the Regional & State Science Fairs
The FLS To Keep It Happening Fund is
designated for educational improvements
in the school, providing funds for families
who need tuition assistance, and keeping tuition rates at an affordable cost for all parents. We are asking you to prayerfully consider a special gift. All gifts to the "FLS
To Keep It Happening Fund" are fully tax deductible. We hope that you will consider helping as we strive to provide an education that nurtures spiritual growth and success in the world for our children.

We encourage any Thrivent member making donations, both member and non-member, to take advantage of the benefits found in the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans "Thrivent Choice" Program. This program started in the summer of 2010. For more details, contact the Church Office for a Thrivent member. We thank Thrivent for their partnership in the ministry!
STUDENT AID & PONATH SCHOLARSHIP
These programs allow children to enroll at First Lutheran who otherwise may not be able to afford the tuition.
FIRST EV. LUTHERAN SCHOOL FUND-RAISING PROGRAMS
During the school year First Lutheran School families are asked to participate if they choose, in various fund-raising activities. The All School Marathon and the FLS Silent Auction/Luncheon are two of our biggest fundraising events. These activities in addition to many others generate additional funding for the school in the range of $30,000 to $35,000. Below is a list of some of the ongoing programs we also participate in regularly. If you have any questions about a particular fundraisery/program please call the school office, 320-864-3317.

Please remember to turn in the "Box Tops for Education" labels. The school received $.10 for each label returned.
